Helping others grieve while you are grieving too

Jerry Fenter is no stranger to death, dying, or grief. After all he is a chaplain and is the director of Spiritual Counselors for a Hospice Health Care System. He is used to working with the dying and their families every single day. But then Jerry experienced a loss that made his every day work, feel sometimes next to impossible. But he got through. How did he do it and how did he grow through it?

That’s exactly what we talk about in this episode of the Graduating Grief Podcast.

“Jerry Fenter works as System Director of Spiritual Counselors for Harbor Healthcare System, a multi-site hospice company.  He holds certificates for Basic and Advanced Hospice & Palliative Care Chaplaincy from the Institute for Palliative Care at California State University in San Marcos.

Jerry serves as a member of the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council for Texas Health and Human Services, and is a frequent present at the Texas-New Mexico Hospice Organization conferences. Jerry specializes in training hospice professionals in diversity competency, professional boundaries, self care, personal grief as a hospice professional, and the art of listening.”
